John Vasquez
Technical Director/Lighting Designer
John has been part of the Brite Ideas team since 1999 and holds the position as Lighting Designer and Technical Director. He has travelled across the United States , as well as internationally working on numerous projects in hotels, convention centers and private venues lending his leadership skills and problem solving abilities to programs from business meetings to concerts. His fluency in Spanish continues to be an asset not only in producing productions in other countries but also in working in multi-cultural ethnic markets within the US.
After graduating with his Master of Fine Arts – Theatrical Lighting Design including a Minor in Stage Management from Cal State University, Fullerton, John went on a multi-city road-tour with the educational science musical "Cranium Palladium" where he learned that quick thinking and adaptability are necessary when you're in a new venue every day. John is known for his humor, calm under pressure attitude and get the job done mentality. John has worked on several high profile projects for such companies as McDonalds, Siebel, GM, Mary Kay, Kawasaki, and Rainbird to name a few. John has also done the lighting design for several top name acts such as Barbra Streisand, Diana Ross, Natalie Cole, Marc Cohen, and J5.
