
Eric Wenzel
Associate Lighting Designer
Eric has been part of the Brite Ideas team since 2007 and holds the position as Associate Lighting Designer. He has a strong background in lighting design and stage-management. His ability to dig deep into a project and look at it from all sides has made his clients as well as team members appreciate his extraordinary thoroughness on all projects. Eric is known for doing whatever it takes “to make it happen.” He continually learns new technology, new media, new software - whatever it takes.
Eric has his Master of Fine Arts from Cal State University, Fullerton in Lighting Design and Minor in Stage Management. He was awarded 2nd place Regional at the KCACTF Festival for Lighting. Prior to working with Brite Ideas, he completed an internship with Jim Moody, assisting him at the Summer Repertory Theater in Telluride, CO. Eric also performed beta testing on Disneyland’s water show World of Color. Eric continues to enjoy working on projects that utilize his skills of drafting and 3D visualization to produce lighting designs for clients as well as spatial venue planning. Some of his past projects include the reopening of the Los Angeles Mark Taper Forum, Cal State University, Fullerton’s Front & Center and a number of high profile private events have allowed Eric to utilize his 3D visualization as well as factor all technical elements of lighting, audio, video, rigging and scenery - décor into his design, planning and execution all while seamlessly meeting the clients concepts and needs.
